Yellowstone is ending with Season 5, Part 2. Everyone has figured out that a member of the Dutton family will die. Some fans already have theories that either Jamie (Wes Bentley) or Beth (Kelly Reilly) will be killed. But, there is another interesting theory as well.
The final episodes of the Paramount series will close the chapter on this generation of Duttons. What do fans think will happen?
Will Jamie Or Beth Die In Yellowstone Season 5?
Yellowstone fans expect the remainder of Season 5 will be a blowout. They especially feel that there will be an epic ending for several members of the cast, primarily Jamie and Beth. The siblings have been at each other’s throats for a long time. They have both found ways to blackmail each other. Because they grew up together, they know each other’s weaknesses.
When Part 1 of Season 5 closed out, it was clear that Jamie’s days were numbered. When he asked for the Governor to be impeached, John Dutton, his adoptive father, and the state’s governor, told Beth it was time to take him to the train station.
Nevertheless, Jamie is plenty diabolical on his own. He has murder on the mind. Jamie hired someone to kill Beth.
Now, on Reddit, fans of the Paramount series have been weighing one fan theory of how this setup will backfire for Jamie and Beth. They wrote, “Summer will be killed by Jamie’s hitmen instead of Beth.”
This poster took this comment one step further. “Since Summer is living in the main house, I really think Jamie’s hitman will mistakenly kill her instead of Beth. That is the only reason I can see why she is in John’s house…I can’t see Beth getting killed just yet.”
A lot of these comments were in agreement. Beth is like a cat with nine lives. She has escaped death a couple of times, but it is not her turn. Beth is a firecracker, and she is a survivor.
However, this prediction was written before Paramount made a major decision.
Paramount Series Will End With Season 5
Fans have spent the past six months waiting for the remainder of Season 5 to air. Therefore, they have enjoyed prognosticating what Taylor Sheridan may come up with for the remainder of the season.
But, although the Reddit poster predicted that Beth Dutton has a bit longer to live for the sake of the Yellowstone series, this was before Paramount announced that the OG series is going to end with the remainder of Season 5.
The plan is that they will air the remainder of the 14 episodes in the early fall. That would mean that Yellowstone Season 5, Part 2 would premiere at the end of 2023, or the beginning of 2024. The key to this timeline happening is the resolution of the WGA strike and a deal struck with SAG-AFTRA. They cannot make these episodes without writers and actors.
