Land Man stars Billy Bob Thornton as a crisis manager for an oil company. Set to begin production in 2023, Land Man will tell the tales of roughnecks and billionaires alike — oil-rig fortune seekers that are reshaping not just the economy, but the very climate itself. The show is based on the podcast Boomtown

, which covers Texas’ multi-billion dollar oil industry.

Lioness

Lioness is about a marine recruited by the CIA to infiltrate and take down terrorists. The show stars Laysla De Oliveira as Cruz Manuelos and Zoe Saldana as Joe, the station chief of the CIA’s Lioness Engagement Team. Joe is tasked with training Cruz and other female operatives in the skills necessary to complete their undercover missions.

Nicole Kidman has also reportedly joined the cast, playing Kaitlyn Meade in Lioness, a senior CIA supervisor mentoring both Manuelos and Joe while struggling with her marriage at home.

Finestkind

Starring Jenna Ortega, Tommy Lee Jones, Tim Daly, Ben Foster, Aaron Stanford, Toby Wallace, and Clayne Crawford, Finestkind is an upcoming crime thriller drama movie with Sheridan taking on producer duties. Finestkind is about a pair of estranged brothers who strike a dangerous deal with a Boston crime syndicate.

1923 Season 2

Even before the first season was finished airing, Season 2 of 1923 was confirmed. Season 1 ended with the threat of the Duttons losing their ranch at the lands of the villainous Donald Whitfield while Spencer Dutton was separated from his wife while on voyage back to his home to help his family.

Perhaps more intriguing is the plot following Teonna Rainwater as she flees the murderous lawmen and priests on her trail. While no release date for Season 2 is confirmed, a 2024 release seemed likely.

Possible: Mayor of Kingstown Season 3

The show stars Jeremy Renner as Mike McLusky, the head of a family who has been keeping the peace in the titular town — a task beset with challenges as Kingstown and its infrastructure are built on the prison industry. Currently, there’s no news on whether there will or won’t be a third season of Mayor of Kingstown.
