He said, “It was hard on Cindy and our children. It didn’t help things. The only thing it did was hurt. The collapse of my marriage was the hardest thing of all for me.” He then went on to express, “You can put this on the record. Through all the pain, Cindy’s been what I always thought she was a real lady. I still have love for Cindy.”

Kevin Costner’s wife Christine Baumgartner has filed for divorce from the actor after nearly two decades of marriage. The couple originally met when Costner was still married to Cindy Silva. While rehearsing for his 1996 film Tin Cup, he and Baumgartner crossed paths on a golf course.
Costner said, “Our partnership has really come into focus about what we do for each other and how we deal with our family. Our house is like a river: You’ve just got to get into the flow of it. And whatever you thought it was going to be, maybe it still can, but it’s going to have to work with what the day brings.”
