Death is inevitable for at least one Yellowstone character.
Yellowstone has been one of the most popular shows on Paramount+ since it premiered in 2018, but that didn’t stop Taylor Sheridan from pulling the plug on the ranching family saga. Apparently, the conflict between him and the show’s main star Kevin Costner prevented the story from moving forward, and now fans are eagerly anticipating the release of the second part of the final Season 5.
Unfortunately, the wait has recently been made even longer by the ongoing SAG-AFTRA and WGA strikes, so the excitement for the season’s finale is now as strong as ever. Fans are dying to know which of Yellowstone characters will perish in the upcoming episodes — and there are actually a few possible candidates.
Most people expect Costner’s John Dutton to be killed in the second part of Season 5, which would be a logical move to finish off the series. However, there’s still a good chance that the Dutton patriarch will survive the coming events, with one of his children being killed instead.
Of course, nothing is official yet, but considering that Beth and Jamie are in the middle of the big battle against each other, it looks like one of them may die in the near future.
Portrayed in the show by Kelly Reilly and Wes Bentley, Beth and Jamie started their feud after Reilly’s character found out that her brother was trying to impeach their father from his title as Montana’s historic governor. Beth broke into Jamie’s house and threatened him with death, but the man laughed in her face, revealing that her family had been killing people for years.
The truth about the Duttons’ way of doing business shook Beth to the core, but she still decided to approach her father and ask him to kill Jamie. Although the patriarch didn’t agree to the idea, he nodded anyway, making it clear that he doesn’t really care about his adopted son’s life.
In his turn, Jamie isn’t all sweet and caring either, as he asked his assistant to put him in touch with professionals who can make a murder look like a heart attack or car accident. Talk about family values!
In any case, it looks like Jamie and Beth are ready to turn their conflict deadly, making the wait for the second part of Season 5 even more agonizing for millions of viewers.
