When Yellowstone’s Lawmen: Bass Reeves Spinoff Takes Place In The Franchise Timeline
Lawmen: Bass Reeves takes place in the same era as Yellowstone’s very first spinoff, 1883. In terms of specifics, it’s also unclear whether the events of Lawmen: Bass Reeves
Either way, Lawmen: Bass Reeves likely won’t be too aligned with 1883. First and foremost, their locations are totally different. Lawmen: Bass Reeves Is Loosely Connected To Yellowstone’s Story
The main connection between Yellowstone, 1883, and Lawmen: Bass Reeves is their creator: Taylor Sheridan. Lawmen: Bass Reeves was first announced in September 2021 as a series made by Sheridan and centering on the historical figure, Bass Reeves. From there, the show developed into a true Yellowstone prequel and an offshoot of 1883. It was even briefly named 1883: The Bass Reeves Story. In the end, Lawmen: Bass Reeves was renamed, however it has remained one of many Yellowstone spinoffs. Though it may not see the return of 1883’s characters, some cameos or easter eggs could appear, tying all of Sheridan’s projects together.
