During a one-on-one conversation with ET Canada’s Morgan Hoffman, the Golden Globe-nominated actress Emmy Rossum discussed the forthcoming 20th anniversary of the Clint Eastwood classic Mystic River. During the interview, she recalled the memorable moments from the movie’s filming, particularly cherishing the opportunity to work alongside industry giants such as Sean Penn, Clint Eastwood, Tim Robbins, and Laurence Fishburne, all of whom are industry legends. “I was like 16, and I had no idea what I was doing, It’s been 20 years, it’s prob ably okay to spoil where I die—He came over and he was giving a note about the scene, and he said to me, ‘That was really good. But this time just try not to hyperventilate because you’re dead.’”

This sense of being surrounded by extraordinary talents led her to become exceptionally cautious and self-aware and ultimately led her to take heavy breaths during the filming of the death scene.
Emmy Rossum Shared Her Experience Working With Clint Eastwood
During a different interview, the actress opened up about her experience working with Clint Eastwood as a director. While numerous renowned actors dream of such an opportunity, Rossum was granted the chance to collaborate with him while still in her teenage years. Thus she shared,
“When I arrived on the set the first day, [director Clint Eastwood] was incredibly warm,–But before the day ended, he was yelling at me for calling him Mister Eastwood. He’s a very quiet man who doesn’t say much, but you better listen, because, if he says something, it’ll be damned important.”
Working with Eastwood opened a lot of doors for the actress, giving her the chance of a breakout performance that was yet to come. Although her journey till The Crowded Room has been slow, it has also been a memorable one. Her current role as the mother to Tom Holland‘s character, Danny Sullivan, in the Apple TV show is undoubtedly poised to elevate her to new heights of success.
