After discussing his work experience on The Graham Norton Show, Tom Hanks broke down about the authenticity of the movie. Expressing his gratitude and respect for Clint Eastwood as he successfully delivered such a masterpiece, Hanks mentioned the presence of the real Sully during production. “Sully was very particular about how we portrayed the procedure and the emotions.” the 67-year-old mentioned.
“He pulled out this dog-eared, stapled, and notated script that he had read. Post-its, stapled index cards all over it – I’m sure his wife had even written ‘No’ across it in lipstick! We went through every page and every moment, every beat had been commented on. He had opinions.”

Portraying the pivotal role of the real-life superhero Chesley “Sully” Sullenberger, who safely landed an endangered plane in New York’s Hudson River in 2009, Hanks rejoiced his choice of project.
