Sister Wives’ Gwendlyn Brown reveals more family secrets, including that the police allegedly showed up at their home and almost arrested someone.
Gwendlyn Brown from Sister Wives revisited a traumatizing moment in her life when she believed her father, Kody Brown, was going to be arrested. The daughter of Kody and Christine Brown has been opening up more and more regarding her upbringing within the polygamous family. With Sister Wives season 18 likely premiering later this year, Gwen is filling that TLC absence in the meantime.
Recently, Sister Wives‘ Gwen Brown took to her YouTube channel to reveal a major plot line behind her family’s reason for fleeing Utah in 2010 during Sister Wives season 1. In shocking allegations, Gwen revealed that her family was forced to vacate their four-family home after police allegedly threatened to arrest her father for living a polygamous lifestyle.
Gwen shared that the Brown family had no other choice but to leave everything behind or risk having the patriarch jailed. Utah became a state in 1896, but to be granted statehood, the practice of polygamy had to become illegal, according to the state constitution. Gwen was asked to explain why Kody and his four wives–Meri, Janelle, Christine, and Robyn Brown–chose to leave the state they had called home for years, with the TLC personality sharing that she isn’t sure how polygamous families live in Utah “comfortably.”

Gwen even called the move to Sin City “wild,” claiming that the Mormons of Las Vegas were “evil” and noting that the community felt “entitled.” It was clear that Gwen never agreed with her father’s choice to move to Nevada and settle.
The Sister Wives star has been extremely outspoken when it comes to her father and his choices. Gwen has already blasted Kody for his preferential treatment of his fourth and favorite wife, Robyn. The 21-year-old has revealed she wasn’t a fan of Robyn or her manipulative ways. Gwen has also accused Kody of preferring his sons over his daughters when they were younger.
Other than speaking out on the family drama, Gwen has a wedding to look forward to. She and her fiancée, Beatriz Queiroz, will tie the knot in July. However, the Sister Wives star recently shared that she isn’t sure if Kody will be in attendance, let alone even walk her down the aisle to her new wife. While Gwen is aware they have a lot to work on, she is still hoping her father can make one good decision and choose to be there to support her on her big day.
